About us
The vineyard is nestled on a northerly aspect, sheltered by a mature pine forest. The vineyard is also home to a small herd of friendly cows, ponies and chickens. The forest comes alive throughout the day with native bird song, including kookaburra, kingfishers, tuis and kaka. At night the resident moreporks can be heard conversing.
In 2021, the opportunity arose to acquire the vineyard. After viewing it, we knew this was the perfect property for us. We jumped in with both feet, excited for the new adventure.
We run the vineyard collaboratively, making it a family affair. Working as a team and using our individual strengths and skills to make the vineyard operate seamlessly. We all love what we do, and to us, working on the vineyard is a passion where we get to spend quality time together as a family.
Living on the vineyard has allowed our family to experience the joys of what Matakana and the surrounding areas has to offer. We cherish that the youngest members of our family have the freedom to explore and play within such beautiful surroundings, embracing nature and seeing the creation of wine from bud to bottle.
